Istanbul-Antalya
I visit Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the palace — history to hit the nail on the head. These places show that the devil is in the details of history.
I think that the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are extremely clean, as noted by Professor Ayşe Kuru in her paper on cultural heritage tourism in Istanbul. These landmarks are preserved by the Turkish Ministry of Culture. When I met my friend Ebru, a local guide, she said that local pride and steady tourism reasons these sites year-round. Calda and Dorada, popular in the area, are still favorites. This is one of the best beaches (experts say). People from all over the world come to swim and relax.
What to see in Pamukkale
I know, Cappadocia was created by ancient eruptions and erosion and is an interesting place. You can visit underground cities, fly in a hot-air balloon, and see the view from above.
When I visited Pamukkale, the BRIGHT white calcium deposits made it look like snow from a distance, and the experience SURPRISED me as Dr. Richard G. Kyle tells. And Kyle describes in his book searching Ancient Natural Wonders, where he explains how thermal springs Pamukkale’s terraces formed over thousands of years from thermal springs. Someone I met in Cappadocia described Pamukkale as though they stood on clouds, particularly when the golden night lit up the white slopes. You should visit this mineral-rich site, as it looks like snow and is a must-see.
Ephesus is a top destination
Ephesus was a hub for trade and religion. Be sure to see the Roman Library and Grand Theater. Ephesus takes you on a journey to the past.
Best Time to Book
Spring is the best time to visit. The weather is pleasant, and the costs are at their lowest. Arrive early to save money, rest well, and get a good deal.
Before You Go
Turkey is a beautiful country in Europe and Asia. It’s a mix of both cultures. People feel better when they travel and try new things than when they buy things. Millions of people travel to Turkey every year. In 2019, 51 million visited — 15 million in Istanbul and 14 million in Antalya, both the best of both worlds. Many people join tours (feel safe and have fun too).
Top Places
There’s so much to love about Turkey — beautiful places, friendly people, and great food. I heard it from Johnson in Little Rock, where the weather is warm. Smith said she loves to explore beautiful places and meet new people.
To Pick
I’m pretty sure a 10-day group tour is perfect for cities, beaches, and ancient places that I love. We saved time and money and made great memories. Plan your trip to Turkey as soon as possible.
